You follow your dreams. To achieve their goals, they make a plan, prioritize what’s important and stick to it. They avoid alcohol and marijuana so they can perform their best. Below are more tips from DHS and HPHS students on how they set goals and stay motivated to achieve them. They follow their dreams. They are drug-free. They got this.

Setting Goals

  • Look forward
  • Create a vision board or dream board
  • Be creative
  • Set lots of goals
  • Write them down in a journal to help you stay focused

Staying Motivated

  • Believe in yourself
  • Be proud of how far you have gotten
  • Allow yourself to take breaks when needed
  • Write lists on paper for the satisfaction of crossing things off
  • Alternate boring tasks with more fun assignments
  • Make an upbeat or inspirational playlist
  • Fuel your body
  • Work out
  • Try new things

Achieving Goals

  • Share your goals with friends
  • Find resources that can help you reach your goal
  • Plan out your schedule
  • Organize by using a planner or calendar
